Seaside in Winter

Going to the seaside in winter, especially the British seaside, is madness of a very special kind. No suntan, not much paddling, and gales/rain/snow are normal for this time of year. But the upside is there is no waiting in line at the ice-cream counter – usually because it’s shut, plenty of places to park and you have the beach to yourself. What more could you ask.
